Paris may 2nd 2011 – AIRTAG partners with NOKIA for the first loyalty card using peer-to-peer NFC technology on the NOKIA C7. AIRTAG thus confirms its technological leadership in NFC and consolidates its mobile strategy.
The app, which is based on fidBook technology, allows users to collect loyalty points and download coupons on their phone, communicating directly with an NFC reader through peer-to-peer mode. The NFC P2P mode permits two-way information exchange between a phone and a device without using mobile data networks, often lacking good coverage in store.

The NOKIA C7, NFC smartphone sold on the European market, allows developers to provide innovative contactless applications. It ships with an NFC chip, which will become active once the Symbian ANNA update is pushed (planned in the following weeks).
